Jacqueline Raistrick from Cairns, Australia, recorded the video on April 25 while at Lake Barrine in North Queensland.
The video shows a dark figure among clouds of smoke.
As she zooms in, Jacqueline says: “It is like it’s just stalled, it’s just saying the same.”
“Oh it’s disappearing actually, I can see it becoming more thinner,” her son says in the background.
Jacqueline rhetorically asks: “What the f**k is that?”
Her son is heard replying: “I have no idea mum but that looks like a flying saucer to me”
Jacqueline’s colleague said: “I swear to God, if it opens and a light comes through, mate, I’m running,”.
The figure remains in the same position before appearing to fade.
The mum has since been left convinced that she experienced a UFO sighting or some type of rare phenomenon.
“Usually when I record something here the video disappears so I’m going to make sure it stays on my phone,” she adds.
Jacqueline believes it was some type of “portal” aircraft where other UFOs could be transported out of space, Daily Mail Australia reported.
After posting the video to YouTube, some 1,500 people have view the abnormal footage.
One person asked: “Wow! What the heck could that be?”
Another said: “I don’t want to speculate about what it was, but you definitely captured something that was there in the smoke and I don’t think that was natural.”
Not all were convinced, on Facebook, one person said: “It’s not a UFO.”
It comes after an asteroid was filmed colliding the moon, before sending debris hotter than the sun into the atmosphere.
