People are telling darkest secrets to Fesshole – including a ‘hooker’ revelation

A darkly funny Twitter feed made of people’s anonymous confessions is fast becoming a social media sensation.

The confessions range from the gently silly: “Everyone thinks I’m a vegan except for the lady at the roadside cafe where I get a bacon and egg sandwich 2 or 3 times a week” to the completely outrageous: “I accidentally found the hooker profile of a colleague. It really was an accident that I found it.

“She runs two Twitter profiles and Twitter recommended I follow the second one and I went ‘hang on, that’s Chloe from work, I already follow her.’ Clicked and OMG!”

There are confessions that might inspire you to do the same thing: “I freeze Fray Bentos pies, and knock them out when frozen, put them in a same size terracotta pie dish and cook, my other half tells everyone how good my homemade pies are.”

Everyone’s faked a pie at some point… haven’t they?

But then there are also tales of terrible things that you would never, ever dream of doing about in a million years, such as : “I once held my dog down and farted in his face. I’d do it to the cat too, but the little f*cker is on to me.”

Fesshole is the brainchild of Rob Manuel. Rob is best known as the creator of subversive meme design website B3ta who famously sued Coca Cola after they ripped off one of his viral animations for a TV ad.

Rob says Fesshole is the one place you can post something without having to worry if your boss…or your mum… sees it

Daily Star Online asked Rob how Fesshole got started: “Fesshole started from chatting to my chum Chris.

“He was saying how the internet has changed and in the old days you could go on a message board and moan about your job or relationship and your mum didn’t read it.

“It made me think there must be a load of pent up frustration in the world, everyone with their head full of thoughts that they can’t say, because saying them could go viral.

“So the obvious thing is to do an anonymous project.”

Finding out other people’s deepest, darkest secrets is always fascinating

You can certainly imagine that someone wouldn’t want their family to see a confession like: “I got my best friend’s girlfriend pregnant and she had my baby.

“He, to this day, has no idea and thinks the child is his.”

Only the funniest confessions actually go into the Twitter feed, but Rob has made the list of submissions public so anyone can go online and browse all the confessions that have been sent in.

We asked Rob if there are any confessions that were too dark to include. He said: “I haven’t knocked anything out of the submissions yet, largely as that would create a three state moderation system and it starts getting complicated.

“At the moment it’s simply tweet or don’t tweet. In the future I’ll probably have to look at this.”

At the moment, though, Fesshole is a simple, elegant public service.

Some of the confessions are funny, but a few are truly shocking

And if anyone has ever wronged you, it’s probably worth checking in to see if they’ve owned up yet.

For example, does this sound like anyone you know? “When I was a paper boy an old lady asked me to see her out as she backed her car down her drive and on to the road.

“Waving her on I deliberately let her run her car into her metal gatepost just to see how it would damage her rear wing. “To be fair I was only a child. Who in their right mind would ask a child to do that?
